LG Vx6000 Software help PLEASE!!

I have the LG VX 6000 phone and I just bought the data cable and d/l Bitpim 0.7 test4. But I cant get my phone to connect. I installed all the driver and everything. Can some one please tell me what setttings I have to have on my phone and computer in order to get this to work. Thanks a lot.

That depends on the cable you're using. If it is a true USB cable then Menu > Settings > 1x Data > Select Port > USB.
If it is a USB cable that is functioning as a serial cable then select serial. The documentation that came with your cable should tell you.
Also the documentation should tell you what the port speed needs to be set at.

got it working thanks. I had to change my com ports to com1 and com2 but leave my cell on usb. It doesnt talk on the phone com port.
