hey guy's, i'm new to this forum. but i'd like to start off with a big thanks i've used this site to unlock, remove aircraft check get games pics etc.... thx for all the great faq's.

now i dont know if this is a stupid question (probably) but i couldn't find a solution anywhere.

anyways when i put an animated gif as wallpaper or screensaver , yes it playes but when the back light turns off the gif's stop too. how do i change this? also when you go back to the mainscreen from doing something it loads the gif all over again, is there a way to put it into "ram" so to speak????

oops forgot, i have a m55, awesome phone btw!!!

basically no and no.

the siemens phone will stop animating when the backlight is off in order to save energy. there's noone to see it when the light is off, so why bother?
it can't be changed.

and it's normal for the image to reload and you can't help that situation either.

i need to ask you a question though. was it easy to unlock your phone? and what is aircraft check? why did you need to turn it off? thanks for answering my newbie questions!

dont worry i still am a newbie, its just like ok the phone plays animated gif' but whats the point if it wont stay as a background or screensaver, dang i'm really disapointed, and in daylight ya you can see it without the backlight.

no it was easy to unlock i got softwares that did all l the work i bought a locked fido phone casue it was cheaper than an unlocked one, and did it myself i could tell you how but i think its against the rules or sumthin' but the links under the siemens stuff(new) thread helped me out alot.
as to the aircraft check it checks for a fido sim card and when one isnt in when you start the phone it says "confirm turn on phone" and you have to click yes, or the phone wont boot., more of an annoyance than anything.

but i still love my m55, only its too small and light i've "almost" lost it a dozen time already

is there a way to turn off the backlight timeout? i know it will drain the battery but i charge my phone every night tho.

not that i know of.

it's annoying that siemens is missing so many useful options

i noticed that animated gif's play whe nthe screen is on dim, what i mean is that you have full backlight, dim-backlight (like when idleing ina game etc..)and oh course backlight off is there a tool i could use to sett my screen to always dim?
