Check this out it the phone is off the hook (get it, off the hook?) anyway I thought this was going to be the phone for virgin but I'm not so sure, its kyo's flagship design and will probably cost alot, but who knows

But think of the cost. I'd be surprised if it was under $200.00 (considering there still pushing the Slider for 139.99 @ Best Buy and from VM direct and 159.00 @ other stores.

I love how kyocera is going against the grain, and making all these great phones. nokia doesn't even have a single flip phone, while kyocera has bar phones, flip phones, slide phones, AND now side-slide-thing.....

nokia had the old 282 flip and they have the new 7200 flip

Just because everyone and their dog doesn't have a particular brand of phone doesn't mean they're not serious phones. I'd rather have a Kyocera over a nokia any day.

thats puts verizon out of the picture and US Cellular. Not to mention that all of virgin's phones to this date have brew, so a java phone may not look so good for some reason to the VM people

the phone has brew, not java. read the phonescoop page.

sprint phones use java, therefore this prob. isnt going to sprint.

verizon is trying to phase out analog, and this has support, prob. not to verizon

im hoping alltel, only because thats the service i have, but its possible for VM or other CDMA services.

I didn't notice the brew thing but just because it has analog doesn't mean verizon won't carry it, they may want it enough just to carry it. Plus there aren't that many digital only phones anyway

about half of verizon's phones are digital only. they are trying to phase out analog, so they wouldnt get new phones that have analog support.

why not, having analog capable phones doesn't interfere with their digital only plans. The only reason they re phasing out analog is because they believe that their digital network is large enough to not need analog, I don't see how releasing an analog capable phone would affect that
