many sources have confirm there is in fact a difference between the software enhanced 262K screen vs. the 65K screen.

lots of user in tw are looking for software upgrade to go from 65k to 262k

has anybody seen the 65k & 262k units side by side ??

errr i dunt think u can change the quality of screen just by upgrading the firmware... itz oringally how the screen was made isn't it?

The GX20 has 65K and the GX21(Taiwan) and GX22(Hong Kong) both have the colour dithering that enables the display to show 262K. Not sure if you can add this 'dithering' to a GX20 or not to allow showing of 262K.

Strange what you say about taiwan as its the GX21 here in taiwan and that hasd the 262K dithering included!

I have both a Sharp GX22S and a Sharp GX20

I can see the GX22S screen having slightly more vibrant colors than the GX20 but the GX20 screen seems to have its contrast a bit more higher than the 22S but that makes colors a tiny bit washed out an whites seem more white I think.

Not a lot of difference really, but the red menu's are real dull compared to the blue ones on the GX22S

Yeah Vodafones standard red and white 'live' menu system for the GX20/30 is a real waste of the best screens available!
