Can someone post the difference between SL55 and SL56?
I heard that SL56 is crappier than SL55, is that true?

im guessing that sl55 is triband, meaning that it supports 900, 1800, and 1900.

and sl56 is dualband, meaning that it supports 850 and 1900.

1900 is most commonly used in north america.

im not sure if im right though.

You are correct.

If you use your phone mostly in NA, get the SL56 because of the 850 band.

One isn't crappier than the other...the are both built alike. My friend has the SL55 and I have the SL56 and he has had more problem swith his SL55 than my SL56. Problems like buttons not working, etc...whereas I never had 1 yet!

also, the sl55 was only intended to be sold in europe. If you end up needing support you will get none if you call the usa\canada support number. If you need the sl55 serviced it "may" need to go back to germany.

WOW, thanks guys for the reply. One more thing, I think I will buy the SL56, but anyone know how to remove the cingular logo?
The phone looks stupid with that logo.

Which logo are you talking about...on the screen or on the phone's shell?

Fot the one on the shell, you will need to buy a new casing (either OEM or aftermarket). If you can live with that logo, I wouldn't change it...just a waste of money.

I believe that the SL55 has bluetooth and the SL56 does not.
