Anyone download or demo any of the new games (or old games) recently posted on the GIN?

Please post an updated list of the games you own/tried and whether it was good or what not. Ill start: Anything above 3 stars is worth the money.

I currently have:
Pinball - its just one pinball game, table never changes and there could have been a lot more on the table. But its actually really fun when theres nothing else to do. 4 out of 5 stars.
Top Gun - game is actually really cool premise, the problem lies in the controls. Control issue sucks almost rendering the game annoying to play. Great graphics but a little to resource intensive making the game abit choppy. All in all, 2.5 out of 5 stars.
Tetris - Classic game of Tetris. Excellent. 4.5 out of 5 stars.
MiniGolf - I got addicted to this on my T610. This is a great version..much harder which is good. Excellent game play, well wroth it. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Thats all for me, keep adding your thoughts.

P.S. Im reserving 5 out of 5 stars for Pac Man

Id really like to play something hard like Jamdats Kasparov Chessmate which is available for the Verizon VX6000 and the a530. Is there a reason many of these games are not available for the 8900. I have a Korean friend who might be able to help me find and download Korean games if there is a way to upload them.
Can anyone explain why Verizon but not Telus chose Brew over J2me and what are its advantges.

How? they all seem to be java games which dont work on Verizons 8900.

Is it possible to upload games to your 8900 from another 8900 that paid for the game? I paid for tetris and was wondering if i could send it to my friend, or vice versa if he gets a game

You don't seem to have a Telus phone. If you do check in the tools folder. there is a MIDPMan... a midp-pacman version

neh, us verizon folks are out of luck....no pacman or any generic non-copyright infringed version thereof exists at the moment. so get to it!!!

Posted by: GRR

could any of the telus guys send us the pac man for the verizon phone ? or would that be a copyright violation ?

Posted by: reykjavik

It would indeed be a copyright violation. However, even if you didn't care about (c) I dont think its possible to send a game yet from Telus to Verizon. On Telus they can get java games to work (as far as I know) so its easy to get a java version of pacman i would assume even if Jamdat (or some other company) didnt make it officially. However, on Verizon we have neither the ability to play java games or the official version (and for most, the space on our phones to store any of it!!).
