i want to put a new wallpaper for my SL55, just wondering what is the max size to maximize the picture on the SL55 screen?

The smallest dimension you can use as wallpaper would be 101x80. you can use any size bigger than this, you only have to deal with the file size

thanks, so from what you r saying, it doesn't matter the picture size cause SL5x will adjust it internally? why should i care about the file size?

how many pics can sl5x hold?

The SL55 has a flexmemory of about 1.6 MB but you can only use a maximum of 1.3 MB

The higher the resolution, the bigger the file. no matter how high the resolution is as long as it is proporational to 101x80, it will fit your screen.
Now, why would you use a 640x480 resolution with a file size of 40 KB instead of 101x80 with a file size of 3 KB as wallpaper of your SL55 if you would be seeing the same quality in the screen. You see as you get close in filling up ur flexmem, the response of the phone slows down because of the full memory.
