Hello all,

Is there a way to access my Exchange email from my sanyo 5150 phone? I can access my hotmail, but have not seen how to access my Exchange email.

I'm not talking about synching contacts with Outlook either, but access my Exchange email "real time" through my web browser.

Thanks

I have seen first hand someone do what you want using Business Connection software from Sprint. I am going to set this up in the next 30 days. I will know more after I try and see if I can get it to work.

I successfully implemented this today by using the Business Connection Software. I hear that Sprint is going to start charging for this service. Something like $2.99/mo.

The down side, I think is it will only work if you are getting your mail from an MS Exchange server.

I successfully browsed my inbox, Calendar, Task Lists, I could also email or forward a document. Works pretty good.

On my phone I had to find Business Connection Menu. I also had to create a login and password at bc.sprintpcs.com.

Good Luck.

You can also have it send you an alert when you get an e-mail. If you want to get an alert for every e-mail you get, just use the @ symbol in the filter. Once its' up and running, you will also be able to check your e-mail form any PC with access to the internet.

Ok, I found the business connect software and downloaded it to my PC. However, I cannot seem to figure out how to get connected to our Exchange Server at work.

Can anybody explain the steps they used to get this working? I guess I'm just missing something here..... thx

ok, you must be on your PC at work with the BCPE software installed.

Launch the BCPE software. At initial set up you'll need to put in some info. If you are having trouble finding where to put the info, launch the program, go to Tool, then settings.

The first screen asks for your BCPE user name and BCPE account password. You set all this up when you signed up for the service.

The next tab says messaging, this is where you select your e-mail platfrom and put in your network user name and password that you use at work. Same thing you put in everyday to log into your network on your work PC. Don't forget to put in the windows domain, it will probably put it in for you anywa.

You can start using the product from here but you can do one more thing if you want. If you go to the next tab called, documents, you can select 1 folder on you work PC so you can access files via your phone or another PC.

So, once it is connected, you can use your phone to access your e-mail and such in real time. Launch the browser on your phone and find the BCPE link, usually under the messaging folder on the web. Log in if necessary. If you want to access your e-mail from another PC, go to https://bc.sprintpcs.com and log in.

The key thing is that you must leave your work PC on and the BCPE software connected to access your e-mail and files. If you turn it off, you don't get your e-mail. If you leave your work PC on, use a screensaver with a password on it.

If you log into your account via the link above, you can set up some other prefs that might help you. You can have an alert sent to your phone when you get an e-mail and such.

Let me know if you still need help.

I've got it working, and this is great! Now only one problem - the software seems to "shut off" every once in a while on its own. I have it running on a PC at work that is always connected, however sometimes the software will not be running. Are there any timeouts set on the software?

There were issues today, it went down for a few hours. There are no timeout options, it should still run. If the problem persists, let me know, I can work on the fix for you.
