I am on version 6.0 software on the LG VX6000 and when I upload the .jpg 120X131 it shows white space at the top and a little at the bottom. I have tried about every ×××× thing I can think of so I thought I would try a .png file. I have tried the .jpg and .bmp with the same results. I have also tried 120X160 and about every size in between. The default ones that come with the phone work fine and go all the way from top to bottom and don't leave the little ribbon at the top and bottom.

I am almost starting to think there is a problem with the v.60 software because other people are having the same problem.

If anyone has version 6.0 on there LG VX6000 and there wallpaper goes all the way to the top and the bottom please fill the rest of us in on what the hell you did.

I have added wallpaper by bitpim, datapilot and picture mail and it all comes out the same way with about 4 lines of pixels at the top between the wallpaper and the actual menu and about 3 lines of pixels at the bottom between the wallpaper and the menu bar.

Any help or advice would be greatly apprecited from someone who is using version .6 of the software.

ok you have to use bmps, you have to delete all your pictures, then in file system upload to the direcotry that pictures normally are, turn your phone off, then back on and they will be there as long as with the original pictures which you can just go ahead and delete

you cant really tell the diffrence from a jpeg and a bitmap when they are 120x131. Both look the same quality on my phone, so i'm fine with using bitmap to get rid of the white space

Mabye your source images look crappy to begin with, thats if you made them yourself.

hmmm that could be it but the pic i had was a pretty clear looking image at 120x130...is there neway u can tell if the image will turn out like crap? i kno if looks all retarded when u shrink it and stuff it will come out bad.

From what I understand is the images are suppose to be 120X131. I have just changed my .jpg to .bmp and they come out crystal clear. I haven't been able to tell the difference on the phone.

If you make your bitmap 24-bit color, not 8-bit, it will look just as good as the JPEG if not better.

Also, converting them to BCI saves a lot of space at least on my 4400.
