Hi everyone,

iam new to the board and i recently bought a X70 (almost 2 weeks). iam having some problems with it and iam wondering if anyone on the board have the same experience with it or know a way to fix it.

heres what the problems is:
1) the vibration doesn't work!! it just worked once and it never worked again (nerver dropped the phone)

2) since the vibration didn't work and i defaulted the phone to see if it helps. bad idea! after i defaulted the phone, the "flip to answer" feature don't work nomore, i'll have to push a button after i filp it open to answer any calls now.

anyone ever had the same problems as i did? can anyone help me to fix it??

btw, the phone is bought in hong kong, incase it makes a different. iam using it in Canada now, with rogers for network.

please help a newbie out, thanx!!!
Vicki

By looking at your describtion, I think your case is quite serious.
I never had any prob like yours, and yours is the first time that I ever heard.

Here are some solutions:

Take it back to where ever you bought it from and ask them to do a exchange or manufacture repair for ou.

Contact the manufacture/warantee centre yourself for a exchange or repair.

I don't know if you know what I mean by doing a "firmware upgrade or reflash your phone with whatever firmware that's standerlized/stable...official release, not beta version."

If yours is brand new, and you believe it's nothing to do with the hardware, then you may want to consider doing a reflash of your firmware(software of the phone) or update your firmware. This way you get the actual "RESET" for your cell to a new firmware or existing firmware. It's like formatting your computer and reinstall watever window version for total prob. free.

ok. i understand now but where do i upgrade/reflash my firmware? do i download it on the net or take it to some place that can perform such thing? if its form the net, would you mind leave me a link to it? or let me know where i can get it done?

also, iam pretty sure is not the hardware thats having problem coz the vibrate worked once and it seems fine when its working.

thanx for the inputs everyone!
Vicki
