Hey, I found this great site through the yahoo search. I have a quick question. I just got my phone a few weeks ago. I want to get some new ringtones but dont want to pay for them through the Get It Now! service. Here's my question:
1) Can you send MIDI ringtones to your phone through a USB cable? There arent any fees on these ringtones right? So for example, i downloaded the peanuts MIDI off of your site. If I had the connection cable, all i would have to do is send it to the phone (for free) and then use it???
2) If you answer is yes to the above question, do you know any good connection cables that work with the LG VX6000 phone? I know there is one from verizon for 79.99 but thats way to pricey.
Thanks for you help. Please reply ASAP if you can..
one more question--- do you use minutes while browsing the Get It Now apps for example, listening to tones from X-Ringer..... even during nights and weekends???

Many of the cables sold on Ebay will work with the VX6000, I purchased mine from freedomnet seller.

Works fine.
You can indeed upload midi files, or mp3's to your phone to play as ringers.
You can upload and download pictures as well.
Many other things as well you can do.
So no, don't buy the 75 dollar Verizon one.
Hope that helps.

Shoot, I didn't pay that much. I bought the cheapest one I could find on ebay, and it not only works with the Future Dial drivers, but chares the battery.
The real key is to read one of the threads about installing the drivers and installing and using BitPim 6.2 (and ONLY that version).
My problems were pretty dumb: I installed two sets of drivers, and they were conflicting. Uninstalling everything and then installing the FD drivers and then installing BitPim AFTER that made everything work great.
