I am SOOO sick of the T610 rumors!!!

So So many people are waiting for the Tre610 or whatever they end up calling this thing. For me NOTHING will ever make this hungry public happy! Let me offer this

Display 160x160 not good enough...
- the 160 display provides you with better battery life

Display is too small to read...
- Get glasses this unit is the right size

Keys too small...
- But they still want a small phone like form factor

The camer sucks...
- Look you want a great camera buy a cannon its just a novelty anyway.

No live video
- see above

Looks like a bar of soap...
- But they want a bigger display, smaller display...

Want clam shell...
- Others want NON clam

Virbrate too weak...
- I agree with this one

No Blue tooth or WiFi...
- Why, you can get the internet anywhere and there are headset options like the "Unleashed" headset which work fine

Need more memory...
- So buy a larger SD card

Want OS 6...
- Why you can't even keep up with the apps on OS 5 currenly

Want push to talk like AT&T...
- For what its a pain and rude in most environments

The P900 is better faster...
- So but it. If you don't have a keyboard DON't compare it.

No voice recording...
- So use voice mail if its that important

All I can say is that my Treo600 does everything I want it to do and more and if it don't than I'll get the app to make it work on palmgear.com. My Treo..
Wakes me in the morning
Reminds me
Takes notes
Reads me books
Lets me read book
play games
Take BB states
Keep up with email
shows me pictures of who is calling
plays steaming audio
SMS
Newsgroups
keeps my passwords
Keeps my quicken updated
calendar
looks up movies
make and receives calls, I can go on and on...
and Best of all I can post from in the car!

Glad it works for you, but for me the screen is the deal killer. Sure it would be better with bluetooth and a removable battery (what $700 phone doesn't have this?), but the screen is terrible. Take a Tungsten T3 and a Treo 600 and compare photos, web pages, and video. What is the point of having a high end converged device when it pales in comparison to its stand alone counterparts? Would you pay $350 for a phone with a 4k screen that is relatively big and doesn't have voice dialing or bluetooth? Would you pay $350 for a Palm that had a 160x160/4k screen? Then why would you pay $700 for a combo unit with those specs?
When Palmone releases an updated Treo with a high resolution screen all those people that said 160x160/4K was good enough will be rushing to buy the new one or pretending that they still don't care because they can't afford a new one. Regardless, the screen is horribly dated and some can't forgive that. I'm one of them. By the way, by posting a thread about the T610 rumors you've sort of contributed to the issue

I hate the "new Treo coming soon!" rumors too.

However, a close second has got to be the "I hate all the rumors" threads. For every rumor thread on treocentral.com, there's got to be the same number of I-hate-rumor threads.
