nokia 6100 series sync question

does anyone know of a sync software prog compatible with pocket pc's? I have no infrared on my cpu at home. my Ipaq 3870 recognizes the phone, will allow me to use it as a modem, but when it comes to sync with the pda, it just says "establishing connection with Nokia 6100" and thats it.
any advice would be great!
