I just bought a GX30! I haven't explored it to 100% yet... but the display and camera must be one of the best on the market right now!! Real Nice!!!

I bought it in Sweden (Stockholm)... and the price was 5900sek thats about $768... I know it's alot!! But i wanted it so bad hehe

Active flip... Nop, can't awnser just by opening the flip.

The camera is improved, but it still lags. They have also made it possible to choose shutter time... Fast, Normal and Slow.

Does the camera of the gx-30 have a changeable macro mode like the gx-20? Can it really use mp3 as ringtones? How many chords does its ringtones support? 32 chords?

Higher capacity battery, has a macro switch on the side, no mp3 ringtones, 32 or 40 chords, not sure

hmm so overall the camera is a lot sharper and clearer, ringtones are a BIT better but still no mp3, has bluetooth, longer battery life, no active flip still and memory card slot compared to the gx22?

No offense, Ed but maybe we shold wait for source04 who has the phone to justify the facts. We wouldn't want info read from some website to mislead others.

It is not the same battery as the GX20

I haven't tried to play mp3:s on the phone becuase the GX30 software does not alow tansmitting files over 100kb... waiting for a SD-Card Reader/writer, the sad thing is that I am pretty sure that the mp3:s will be played in mono

. But i think it is possible to use the mp3:s as ringtones (I'll trie to uppload a mp3 later today and let you guys know).

It is also possible to rec 400kb with the finest video quality (about 44sec). You can also assign wich LED coulor you want to have when you get a call, but not specific to a contact.

If you have vodafone it's possible to send a postcard through MMS... 15sek/each about $2.00...

Im just waiting to get my gx30 on wedensday hopefully.

I hope this phone is going to be okay after alot of problems with the motorola v525 and v600 I was hoping sharp were on the ball but.

what is the point of the mp3 if you cant use it as ring tone and playback is mono.

You can! go to the melody icon at the bottom of any entry in your phonebook.

press options, then edit. Ringtone "on", then it will let you select a tone, vibration and light colour for each contact.

hmmmm....does the phone come with a stereo headset to play Mp3s or can it only play out of the speaker? That would be kinda dumb if they didnt allow you to listen to your music the way it should be.

man it seems like they missed alot of small features on this phone like mp3 ringtones. This is going to make the v600 vs gx30 battle interesting.

V600 doesn't compare on the screen/camera areas which are very important to me. Also the quality of the V600 sucks big time.

that may be true, but the gx30 is fugly in my opinion. Also the quality issues arent that bad on the v600. Mine has no issues and ive had it for a while.

I wanted the GX30 so much, but after I found out that it doesn't support full calendar-function, the interest dropped... (I think Sharp should have changed this after GX20! Can anyone confirm that it really doesn't have full calendar? *Living in the hope* )

I'm waiting for the SE S700!
