Hello peeps. After reading a thread at Esato.com regarding certain lovable features associated with SE phones that cannot be used 1-handed with the flip on I saw the recent news release of UIQ version 3.

I'm trying to convince a mate that is jockying to buy Treo600 or P900 to go for P900. 1Handed opteration with the flip is important to him.

Thsu wondering if anyone thinks or has tried UIQ version 3 possible to install on P900 to allow 1 handed operation??

Cheers

P900 can be fully one handed operated if u dont mind putting ur fingers on the screen

and UIQ3.0 is not even fully developped
Treo has horrid battery

Do you have any real world experience with the Treo? I have a Treo 600 and the P900 and the Treo eats the P900 alive in battery terms. The Sony Ericsson battery life claims are fantasy. In a normal days usage for me the P900 is down to 20%, the Treo is still at 80%.

The P900 cannot be operated one handed unless the flip is closed. Many icons and other times are just too small to be adequately picked with a finger aside from the issue of potentially damaging the screen.

bcalis...you re joking me right???

Joking about what? I have both these devices and this is my experience with battery life. The Treo has a battery with almost twice the capacity of the P900 so it shouldn't be all that surprising that it runs longer.

As for one handed access, that's a bit more subjective but seems to me the achilles heel of the P900. It's not nearly as easy to use one handed as the Treo 600 or the Nokia 6600. It's certainly the multimedia king of the three, but the dependency on flip open with stylus is a drawback when on the move.

I comfortably use a P900 with one handed

and as for the treo and it's battery
u'd be the first to say that it outlasts the P900
maybe ur P900 is water damaged
or u got battery trolls.. either one...
