I made my own c:\sysdata and put my own startup.mp4 , now everytime I turn on my phone, it tells me to hold the power off for 10 seconds.. I can't even turn on my phone anymore. If the phone doesn't turn on, then I can't access it through the computer.. help please.

there's gotta be a way for a hard reset... I know of the hidden system menu.. but I think the phone has to be fully on...

Yeah, that's the main problem. The phone won't fully turn on at all, it just gives me an animate screen and tells me to hold the power button for 10 seconds.

Well that other thread that guy said he had to reflash his phone... Other than that.. you try the repair/recover mode of the SE firmware upgrade page? Maybe it can recognize it even when it's off?

Only way to fix the startup sequence is to re-flash the phone. If this is a P900, the home flashing site can perform a firmware repair. If it's a Moto A9xx or a SE P800,you'll have to get it done at a service centre

Ok, I'm on the phone with Sony Ericsson customer support - 1866-Sony-Ericsson, and they're telling me that since I uploaded a file to the phone through someone's personal website, it will not be covered under warranty. Where should I turn to now? Advice please, guys.

×××× Sony Ericsson. Give rickpaul at www.globalmob.com a buzz for firmware flashing. Turnaround time for Virtual Dynamix/Global Mobility is same day unlike SE which is 1-2 months

ditto

I talked to Rick Paul and he said flashing just updates firmware and formats that phone. Is that what flashing is? If that'll fix my phone, then I'm sending it in right away.

Is $40 a good price?
