yepeeeeee........
wow.........
There isn't even a game menu to choose usnless you add it to Axcess Apps menu.
hehehehehe.... Ok, as for the drivers, I just did the Automatic install from Futuredial.... they seem to be fine, it's the BitPim program that was messing everything up it seemed.... with the LG LX5450 useing Alltell you ( or I did anyway) need the special BitPim program for the LG VX6000, I tried the normal version of that special one and even the newest one, didn't work. I will give ya a couple links to the places I was searching when I got it all to work. After viewing these two pages, I never had to go searching anymore, it all worked fine. Hope it helps, but if not, talk to me, see what we can work out
So glad it all worked out ..........
.......... First time I messed with that I messed it up bad. Only 3 things I have SAFELY messed with is the Address Book, Ringers, and Wallpaper. and used their tabs to do it. Thinking about it, if you add a ringer or photo manualy by way of the FILESYSTEM TAB, Im not sure how it's supposed to tell the phone it's there. I know it has some kind of structure in the data files by reading posts from others with even other phones. So, I never messed with that tab after the first crash.
Bad Mistake. It likes them for some reason. And it might have been becasue I did it in the FileSystem Tab, who knows.

Originally posted by cajunman I transfered mp3's and bmp images to my phone. The file names show up on my phone. However, when I try to view the image I get a blank screen. When I try to listen to the mp3 there is no sound. I edited the mp3 to approx. 15 seconds. I edited the image to 120 x 131 pixels. Any suggestions? Also, is there a way to transfer a picture that was taken with your phone onto your pc via the cable instead of doing it thru email? |

Got the MP3's to work and here is how "I DID IT". Not saying it will work with everyone, but this is what I did. Basic settings and stuff I am using: LG LX5450 Phone (ALLTEL) Cable from FreedomNet (eBay) New drivers from futuredial.com (ones that came from FreedomNet didn't work) Newest version of PitPim (V0.62 Special edition for LG VX6000, this is the only version I can get to work on my computer. All the updated ones don't for some reason.) Most the time it comes up on COM9. Menu on phone 9-6-2 have it set to USB. Menu on phone 9-6-3 have it set to 115200. MP3 Maker Program: MAGIX MP3 maker 2004 Diamond MP3 Editor: MAGIX music editor version 1.06 (01) First thing I did was to find a song I wanted. In my case I had already ripped it from the cd and was in mp3 format already. (02) Loaded up my music editor. (03) Won't go into details here of what I did on the song with the program I was using, there are so many out there most of my info would just confuse you (I can get detailed if you are using same program if you would like, drop me an email) but to make a long story short, found the part of the song I wanted and cut it out, first test I scaled it down to only about 15 sec long, sec time I did it for 30 sec and it still worked, and then saved that clip as a "MP3 High Quality (*.MP3)" with 128 kBit. Then saved it to the hard drive on my computer. (04) Hooked cable up to the phone. (05) Hooked cable up to computer. (06) Started the BitPim program. (07) Clicked on the RINGERS tab. (08) Right Click mouse in center of screen and select ADD. New window pops up and you can search for your song you want to upload. Click "OPEN" (09) In menu of BitPim program, select "Data", and then select "Send Phone Data...". Another new window pops up; this time put a check mark under the word "Get" and to the left of the word "Ringtone". And also click on the little circle under the word "Add" and to the right of the word "Ringtone". Click "OK" (should see progress bar and info at the middle bottom of the screen on it being uploaded to the phone") (10) Exit BitPim program. (11) Unplugged cable from phone. (12) Shut Phone off. (13) Turned Phone back on. (14) Went to Menu 7-2 and scrolled thru all of them and BINGO, there it was. (15) As soon as I scrolled onto it, it began to play automatically. Loudness was a bit much, so had to turn the volume down. MP3’s seem to play louder than normal songs that came with it. (16) Set it up to a lot of different things: Alarm, plays when my mom calls, etc. Works for all the ones I set it up for. |
