X70 stopped charging, help!

Hey, guys just got my X70 a month ago. Three days ago, I started having problems charging the phone. It would just stop charging. Now it will not charge at all. I took it to the shop I bought it at and they tried another x70 cable. It did not charge when two days prior it did charge in their shop. I do not want to send the phone off to Panasonic for “at least 90 days ". Is there something I can check? The battery works, but it is dead. When I hold down the power button, the keypad turns on for about a second then turns off. Any suggestions? I am on t-mobile in Los Angeles and I have insurance on my plan. Any way to convince t-mobile to have the shop give me another x70. I spent $500 on this phone including tax; I do not want to settle for a cheaper model locked to t-mobile. Thanks.

I'm guessing you got it from some independant shop, but T-mobile can't do anything about it since this handset has nothing to do with them. If you really don't mind, I'd say your best bet is to get a stand for the battery and charge it without the phone. At least you got warantee on your phone, mine was bought in Hong Kong and it's not covered, so if anything happens to it, it's game over.

Yes it is an independant dealer. However it is a very reliable one. Anyone know how Insurion deals with replacements? Could I convince them to authorize a direct replacement? I have the receipt.

There's no way the insurance company is going to authorize a direct replacement since X70 is not officially released in US.
