Hi all,

I have been searching this site non-stop for weeks and must say there is tons of useful stuff... even for someone like me who knows how to turn on a computer and connect and that's about it (haha)

I have the cable from FutureDial, I use BitPim 0.62, Sound Forge 7 and the makeindex program. I have successfully d/l ringers and pics to my LG4600 (woohoo) no problems.

But since then, I deleted the ringers I had and decided I wanted to do better ones, I connect with BitPim but it just seems to freeze so I disconnect, retry and it works for one ringer and then just freezes again. So I unistalled ecerything and reloaded it and I still cant seem to get it to load I will get one ringer and then it freezes. I check the log and it doesn't say any errors or communication problems - I would assume it was my computer but everything else is working, task mgr even shows BitPim running - so no problem there. I also downloaded the updated driver from FutureDial - I can download 2 ringers now but the phone doesnt play them.

Any help?

never mind got it working, kind of...
so far have 5 ringers done, having a problem keeping the connection open after the 2nd d/l - my com closes on the phone and I have to shut it all down and disconnect/reconnect the cable and try for 2 more. However, there are 4 songs in particular that I was able to d/l on another model of the 4600 that wont take on this one. I also noticed there are some "blank" spots when I am trying to assign ringers to phone book entries that dont show up on BitPim or in the my ringers folder or in my menu for downloaded ringers. Any idea how to get rid of them?
