Can a unlocked C56 be used in the Philippines?

My wife is thinking about travelling to the Philippines with her mom and we were wondering if she had her C56 unlocked if she would be able to use it with ones of the wireless provides there.

nope, it cannot. You'll need a 900/1800 band phone if you want to use it over there.
