I wonder if the 13 second trick would work?! Having read other posts about the trick, (if done right) it will get rid of the starter screens that you don't want.
If your not fimiliar with the trick or how to do it, let me know and I'll find the post about it again.

it does work. and 11.5 seconds was perfect for me. I use a t310, it wiped everything that wastes memory, all ringers, all images, all themes, everything. make sure you record all your wap info and stuff first though for easy reconfiguring (if needed). it does not affect your sim, unless ofcourse you do the reset, wait 11.5 seconds, then toss your phone into oncoming traffic :P but yea, it works, seems safe enough, I did it multiple times, no problems yet.
EDIT
btw, in order to do it incase u dont know, u initialize the full memory reset, then time it from the instant it starts to 11.5-13 seconds or so, then simply pull the battery. then go check the ringers/themes/images to see if any survived, if so, try it again, and pull the battery earlier. rinse and repeat.
EDIT END

on a t616, u can remove it by flashing it with OEM sony fw.

you can just disable start-up picture in
settings/display/start-up picture
or something like that

the 13 sec could erase start up animation. but i don't think it will erase the logo when ur phone goes standby. since that is stored in the sim

You cannot remove the ATT Wireless at the top. And why would you want to. That tells you what network you are on. If it was gone and you went in to a different network you would get charged roaming and not even know it.
