5150 Holster Options etc..

Hi everyone. I just ordered a 5150 from Amazon..what a deal....and now am looking for options for it. I have been told by numerous people that this phone does not come with a belt clip holster and that I also must get the data cable. I have found the cable for $19.99 as I saw someone else say in a related thread.I already go the Multimedia software through a thread here. Very helpful. Thanks.

But here are my questions, I have seen many options for holsters, and I am not sure which would be the best. I am posting some links and am asking if you all could give your input if any of you have them and whatnot as to how they are made and how well the hold the phone and whatnot.

* Holster with fly out caller id option.

* Regular Holster (It is the one on the left)

I'd really appreciate any input you can give me on this. I think it is pitiful that it didn't come with a holster like my StarTAC did, but oh well. I'll just have to live with it as others have.

Thanks!

The holster/case market for the 5150 is pretty slim. That 1st item you list from ebay looks pretty solid. I would rather have a body glove swivel case but they don't seem to make one for this phone! It was a suprise to me to find this out. I know body glove makes a case for the 6200 as I have seen it at office max. It's about the best cell phone case I have ever encountered and it's a shame they dont make one for the flagship sanyo phone.

Where did you find the data cable for $19.99 ?

Yeah, until recently I didn't even know that Body Glove made cases. If I was going to get a case, I would try and find something like that. It is too bad for others though that BG doesn't make a 5150 one. I think I am going to go with the caller id holster. I am not sure if it stays latched in place or not, but we will soon find out.

And Sinnocent, here is the link for the cable. I found it in a thread on here somewhere.

No problem. Glad I could help.

Good luck with it!

I went to officemax and they didn't have any body glove cases for the Sanyo 6200. I also went to a sprint pcs store and they have a body glove case for the Sanyo 6000 but not the 6200. Anyone know any other places that carry the bodyglove case for the Sanyo 6200?

Gee, now I feel silly! I ordered the cable from sanyo.com for $39.95. I see, it does PAY to read all the treads here.

Haha. Sorry to hear that. Maybe you can return it or something. But yeah, these forums and other's like these are great. I have several links posted on my website for stuff like this. Very handy and informative. A great way to get people's opinions and experiences.
