What's a straight USB cable?

I was just wondering what a straight usb cable was? I saw it on the Bitpim website? Also, is the cable from Radioshack this type? Thanks again.

It's a cable that doesnt have the serial to USB conversion done. If it has a box in the middle, it's probably not a straight cable. As for the radio shack cable, I'm not sure.

what's the differnece anyways?
i seen some samsung cables with that and i believe there's a switch on it...
