Another Rogers user with the same problem

Actually I found several bugs on my phones. I hope Inno will update the firmware for this phone

dont know if this is a bug as much as it is a "i dont know what settings to use"...?

Email is 100% Pop3 complient. Your settings are wrong or you didn't sign up for a Data plan with rogers.

trenton can u give the details on the settings u used please?

how about the e-mail settings for T-Mobile??

Anyone have that??

I don't know the settings anymore, but the Rogers Data Plan is diffrent than the GPRS standard plan. The data plan gives full dot com access, and that costs 25$ a month for the lowest package. That allows your Palm or any other device (Including phones) to use the internet. Otherwise your restricted to WAP.

I am trying to figure out how to configure the e-mail setting. The following info is what I got from Rogers:

Mail Address: your 10 digits cell phone number@pcs.rogers.com
Profile name: media
SMTP Settings:
SMTP Server: 172.025.000.114
User ID: mobile
Password: orla (****)
Authentication: Off
POP3 Setting:
POP3 Server: 172.025.000.115
User ID: blank
Password: blank
Mail Delivery Delete Message
Bearer Type:
GPRS: (Go to Edit to verify the following under GPRS)
AccessPointName: media.com
User ID: media
User Password: mda01 (*****)
Authentication Normal
Primary DNS: Should be ---.---.---.---
Secondary DNS: Should be ---.---.---.---

But I wasn't sure what info should go in what field. Right now, this is how I set up my phone, but I am not able to get connection from it:

So under e-mail setting --> e-mail accounts --> edit -->
incoming server: 172.025.000.115
outgoing server: 172.025.000.114
User ID: mobile
Password: orla
My e-mail address: XXXXXXXXXX@pcs.rogers.com

But I wasn't sure where I should put the profile name, and what connection profile to choose (the default is AIS Internet).
