hey guys,

bought a mc60 alst week, i just got the data cable, connected it up - pc asked for driver i put the cd that came with the cable in and installed but i'll be ××××ed if i can get the thing to connect.

I installed the software suite from siemens, chose com1 first by mistake then chose com3 (usb correct) but it just won't work!!

the cd that came with the cable says on it that it had application software but it doen't, it only has the drivers!

anyone any ideas

Could you have gotten the wrong driver supplied with the cable? Please search the A56>C56 thread and a couple other data cable threads, there should be the proper driver for your cable.

For my cable I had to install the driver as supplied by other friends here on HoFo rather than on the CD that came with the cable.
