well after installing the 2.08 firmware from 2.05..for 1 day now.. i do notice there is some improvement on call quality... battery life has not been reduced that i know of.... the speaker phone seems to be louder... but besides that.. not much of a difference...

i cant remember on 2.05 or not.. but when you choose network.. could you pick the which frequency you want the treo on?.. that one thing i noticed that i can pick either 900/1800 or 850/1900 or just auto.. now... cant remember if 2.05 had that option or not..

I don't have that option on my 2.02 Cingular Treo.

I have 2.05 and can't choose frequencies directly.

oh.. ok.. so i guess in the 2.08 you can choose the the frequency... but so far.. the 2.08 seems to be good.. not too big of a diff.. but the call quality seems to be better..

I upgraded my Cinglar unlocked phone from 2.02 to 2.08 with no issues so far. I don't notice any voice improvments yet, and it doesn't seem to be helping my inability to use GPRS with fido.
