ok, theoretically this has to work. the lg vx6000 and the kyocera se47 use the same type of data port. currently i own the vx6000 cable and would like to use it on my se47. does anyone know exactly what i need and where to acquire it, the kyocera usb drivers, kyocera desktop software??? help me out... please?

i would also like to know how to use the vx6000 data cable for my kyocera se47.. it would be great if it works.

I had tried the LG VX6000 USB cable on my Slider and it DID NOT work, I also tried the same cable on a LG VX4500 and it did not work either. I bought the Kyocera USB cable for the slider and it works on all 3 phones. The LG USB cable is a true USB cable, the silder and vx4500 suposedly do not suppoprt USB. The Kyocera cable has a USB to serial converter in the cord and all three phones support serial communications. My LG cable did have the lump in the cable as does the Kyocera cable but it must not be a converter on the LG cable, it must be just to alow a charger to hook up to it. I also noticed transfering data was slower using the Kyocera cable on the VX6000 then the LG cable was, I would have to say this is because of the slower data rate with the serial protocol.

Does this mean my Vx6000 car charger will work for the slider?

I was too scared to try the car charger.

inothome,
what driver did you use to install the kyocera cable?

it's weird... some people say that the kyocera se47 only works with the LG vx6000 cable if it's straight USB.

and here you say the LG vx6000 cable only works on the slider if the cable is USB-> serial.

im not trying to doubt you... i'm just confused with all these mix experiences that people are having.

my LG vx6000 cable suppose to be straight USB but it also has the box thing in the middle.

well if you have any inputs... please share... thank you!

I don't quite follow some of your thoughts there, but to clear at least one thing up....the 'lump' on the kyocera cable is a filter, it has nothing to do with the cable being usb or serial. It could be removed and the cable would work just the same. In fact, we have 2 kyocera cables in my office, one serial and one usb that don't have the filter. The serial cable I have does have it.

I don't have a lg cable, but I think phone geek is on the right track. Assuming the connectors are the same and the pinouts and drivers are the same, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Pinouts Lg Vx6000 To Usb ??

The LG cable won't work on the slider, bt the slider cable will work on the LG. I tried my GF's 6000 car charger and my dad's 4500 charger and neither of them could charge the slider.

i had a se-47 for like 3 days from a buddy of mine. My vx7000 charger worked and fit in it fine

It is possible only when the LG Cable is a serial cable. I cant be a usb cable for some reason. The only thing you have to do is to connect your LG charger into the cable so the computer can detect the phone. Since the se47 doesnt power the cable, the charger will

just wondering if anyone knew someone looking for a data cable for a SE47(also worked on my SE44) and a spare belt clip, car charger, and wall charger? I had my phone stolen and am cleaning out my desk drawer. Email me or PM me if you would like them (I can take some pics if you need). I would prefer to sell them all together. (only one package to ship) Cheap, like maybe $15 shipped O.B.O. sorry no CD but all the info you need to use the cable is on this website.
Thanks, and sorry for interupting the conversation. I just hate to see good phone gear go to waste.

Cheers.
