Ive bought a Cingular Branded Tero 600 about 2 months ago and I wanted to know if your Treo 600 IMEI # starts like mines?
Its 010215001151***
Ths reason Im asking is cus im about to insure my PDA and i dont want to have any problems with T-Mo since I have a Cingular Treo 600.Oh yeah do you guys know if TMo covers the Treo?

Mine's an unbranded unit that T-Mobile shipped (early) as a business model; the s/n is almost identical to yours the first 11 are same the 12th is 0..

The insurance is not T-Mobile (per-se) it's an outside provider, and my understanding is that they cover whatever phone your sim chip happens to be in at the time of event (loss, breakage, etc..).

So if your Treo (for instance) is sitting home on the shelf cause you're carrying your little tiny flip-phone that day, then the flip is covered but not the Treo.

Inotherwords, when you contract the insurance, they are not concerned with any particular make or model of phone, but moreso with which line (sim) you want coverage for.

Thru T-Mobile the insurance cost is $3.99 per month (per line insured), the insurance company is Asurian.

Does Asurian cover Treo 600?What I mean is that if you break or lose it will they gave you back a Treo 600?Cus there not sell them yet on T-Mobile.com.

i believe it does cover. but again, they will give you the same model, or the same values of the current phones they carry.

if tmo does not carry treo in stock, i am not sure what phone would they give it to you. another treo, from handspring directly?

i am getting (HOPEFULLY) the treo 600. Placed an order on Feb 28, and it is my 3rd week of waiting. hope they will have it in stock asap and ship out.

I have not yet had occasion for a claim but Asurian CS people I've spoken with say same item (or equal value) replacement should a covered event (loss, theft, or breakage) arise.

Any T-Mobile CS person can provide Asurian's 800 number if you have further questions.
