I don't know. No one actually knows. We find out next week when this phone will be officialy releaced at CeBIT.

By the way next week a phone with MP camera from Nokia will be announced in Honk Kong. One new phone from LG will be presented too.

I love it. I hope thier is a S66 with 850

Anyone think it's probably built using the same platform as the Sony-Ericsson K700? (Seem to be nearly identical, feature-wise, but this has a better camera and is arguably better-looking).

I remember seeing on mobile-review that Siemens sometimes uses Ericcson phone platforms...it would make sense here, given the specs are so close.

Does that mean that we could expect comparable pricing, with this phone costing more due to the higher-resolution camera?

Posted by: matematic

The price will be higher than the price of K700. This phone has to be a competitor of S/// S700. The competitor of K700 is CX65. I think that this phone will be the best one from Siemens this year. It will be on the marker not earlier than september.

Wow, Nokia better hurry up with that 6230 or they'll lose all their customers to either this Siemens or maybe even the SE K700.
Looks great, this one. Might almost be the phone that brings me back to Siemens.

The Nokia competitor of S65 will be announced next week I already wrote that.

Ericsson doesn't make phones...
Anyway, if Siemens use Ericsson components, nothing wrong with that. Ericsson is not a part of SonyEricsson, as many seems to belive.

SonyE-phones are made by a Taiwanese company. At least Siemens make their phones themself (except for some OEM and ODM phones like ST55, CL55 and C62)

Posted by: matematic

Molna is your info about the MMC/SD Slot confirmed?

Posted by: molna

You'll have to wait and see

Molna

I was thinking that the C62 had started a trend for Siemens buying or using Ericsson chipsets. I guess this is not the case?

(I thought that Ericsson sometimes called their chipsets "phone platforms"...and were used as components by many other phone companies.)

Off-topic: Does a Taiwan company make EVERY Sony-Ericsson phone or just some of them? (the T105 and Z200 are Taiwanese ODM models for sure...)

At least P800/P900 is made in France. Some other SE phones are made in China. So the answere to your question is no.
