What's your favorite sounding car from the factory?

Kind of pointless but fun! Mine is the 2003 SVT Cobra.

Even though I am a chevy man I am going to have to agree on that one! You just have to love the sound of all mustangs and then with the addition of a small whining of under the hood! But i still think my Heads and Cam LT1 sounds a little better

Hummer H2, nice and low.

The new Hemi Rams are the best sounding truck from the factory.

350Z
those VQ35's sound amazing stock

355

As far as trucks go, the heavy duty rams with 360s (and now with hemis) sounded the best.

The latest Mustang GTs sound ××××ing amazing stock, just like factory-style chambered exhausts from way back when....

Also, Chevy Impalas with both 3400 and 231s sould INSANE when you lay on them. At least as insane as a 6potter can

I have to agree with Dan for once and say the Mustang GT.

There is some guy that literally drives back and fourth on my street with his GT and it sounds sooooo good. Nice and throaty.

No offence, but I always thought straight sixes made a weak, artificial whinning sound (even if they said 'M' on them). Nothing really sexy about it at all.

As for me, if I had to choose from a recent car, it would have to be the V8 from the Ferrari 355. What a beautiful sound that makes.

Now something with a carboretator? Hmm, thats tough. I guess the V12 from a 1962 GTO would be at the top of my list (but I think it's because the looks of the car have biased me). But the Dino V6's had a very nice sound too.

fyi, i'm not a Tifosi. I just love the way they build engines.

They may not have the deep roar of a V8, but I like the smooth refined sound of straight sixes (even on an old Volvo 960).

V8s are nice too...I love the sound of the Cayenne Turbo.

The viper sounds like ×××.. Great car but if you've ever heard one up close, it sounds like a 4 banger on a good day.

My favorite car stock from the factory would also have to be the mustang GT's. As for the straight sixes, the 350z has a nice sound.

Ya sorry Dan, I meant the real GTO. But you didn't really think the look of a Ford could actually bias me in a positive way, did you you?

re: the Nissan 350Z's 3.5L VQ engine
The engine note was describe by Jeremy Clarkson as sounding like "just a noise, a sort of wearysome drone [that] just get's on your nerves".

Although I disagree with him on this, as with most of the things he says, I will admit that I've heard better engines.

Oh yes... real as in only 40 ever made.

GTOs are Ponchos. Not FORD.

I don't care that feraru had the name first.

GTO in my kind stands for Gas, Tires, Oil... three things both cars burn in mass quantities

My appologies. I only know of one GTO, and am ignorant about the rest.
