I got my phone in today and saved a few (10) mubers in there from my sim. I played a game called Erik and then charged it. While charging I was going to play the game again and it says" Not enough memory for application"!!!!
It won't let me play the freak'n game! What is going on?!
Can anybody please help me with this?

Do you have a lot of pictures/ringtones on your phone? Sometimes if you dont have enough memory, the phone can do things. Make sure you have at least 100 kb free and things should run fine...

I had not done anything yet with the phone except take it out of the box and play that game.
I found out through a few other forums that there are many other people who seem to have the same problem with this game. Appearantly Sony phone's aren't that great with JAVA bases games.

i just noticed that too with my z600. i'd have to run it twice for it to actually start.

It is my understanding from some other posts and general web browsing that none of the Java games really work on the Z600. Does anybody know what the deal is with that, because all the games I can find online for the SE Z600 are Java based.

Thanks!

Um, Java games work pretty darn well, so I don't think your statement of none of the Java games work is fair.

Since your phone comes with about 300-700k of free memory from the box (I think), you might want to try deleting some pictures and ringtones and themes. I am pretty sure the memory is used both as storage and RAM, so you want to leave a good amount to run games and programs.

Then why does Splinter cell (Java) not seem to run smoothly on the Z600? Let me also clear up that I have this understanding because of others that have told me. I would like to be sure before I waste $5 on a game.

i've been trying some of the java games available on mobile9 and i find that some (not many) games run very choppy or display the wrong graphics.

for example, in fifa2003, you cannot see the pitch, which makes it kinda hard to play..

i dont think that the phone is perfect for java, but i also dont think that its the worst java handling phone.. things do run, although sometimes slow and choppy... you'll just have to take the risk.

i've tried a few java games on my phone and they either don't start (sometimes start after trying 2-3 times) or crash while i'm playing. I thought it was just me but i guess not. The memory problem thing has happened to me aswell. and i'm sure i have plenty of free memory like 1257kb to be exact.
