Get rid of your USB cable and get a serial cable. I went through all kinds of hell with WebJAL and tried 3 different USB cables included a "modified" (LOL) condor cable and a USB falcon cable and always had connection errors and unexpected shutdowns. I recently caved and bought a serial cable and although the transfer is a little slower, it works all the time instead of 5% of the time. Save yourself some trouble and just get a serial cable. Also, WebJAL R01.01.02 is all you need to connect to an i730 and that is available all over the place, I'm sure you can find it with minimal searching. Hope this helps, and if not...

Nothing wrong with a usb cable, just the operator. Once I figured out what I was doing wrong I haven't had any problems since. I've set up ***** and webjal on 3 other computers without any problems at all.

You guys are sayin this like I'm a NEWB. Contrary to my post count (some of us have to work for a living, not having enuf time to post on every petty thing) I have been working on and with NEXTEL phones since their service became available in MI in 1994. I tested the USB using multiple SW programs and everytime I would try to read a phone I would get an unexpected windows error and the prog I was using would shut down. Now you are quite possibly correct that a USB cable works (as I said before I had it work on my computer on rare occasions) but it was in no way reliable for me. So try not to be condescending @$$ holes next time around.
