WENT TO VERIZON - OUT OF 8900's TOLD NEW SOFTWARE COMING

I went to VZW store on Thurs night to get my phone replaced. It will not ring - missing lots of calls.

They did not have any 8900's to swap out. I asked them where are they?? I have the insurance and I need a swap aout.

VZW person apologized profusly and I asked if it had anything to do with the HORRIBLE software in the phone.

She said that NEW software is coming out and that is why there are no 8900's in the store.

I am supposed to get my NEW 8900 on Monday (3/15) and it is supposed to have the NEW software. I will see and report when I get the phone......

<Not holding my breath for new software - but sure would like to be the first on my block to get it>

we could always just get the new software flashed i believe...but i love my 8900 right now, my own wallpaper, my own banner, and mp3 ringers.

I hope you asked for credit to your account for the trouble you have and having to wait so long for it to be fixed. This post may help you get it.

When you do get your new phone please ask for documetation on what the new software fixes along with how to verify you have new software and post the details...please.

Thanks for the heads-up. I will see what credit they will give me.

I will ask for documetation, but who knows what I will get and whether or not the VZW person will have any idea or info.

If you still have your old phone they may check your phones logs on if you missed/droped any calls. YOU can check missed calls your self by pressing menu,recent calls,missed calls.

LOL I thought Verizon was telling you a line of crap. Thats why I asked for the info. I hope you asked for a credit for your trouble and Verizon telling you what they did. I know I would have a healthy credit in my account if I was told or had to deal with what you did. Credits given are looked at very close by Verizon admin and when thier is a problem Verizon is more wanting to fix them so we don't ask for more.
