is it safe to do format the phone? will it lose everything including the laguage packs?
i'd like to have the phone back like it came out from factory as when u see when u power up ur new phone for the first time.
btw i don't mind if the installed apps are lost but just not the language packs.

I will suggest you to sync with you computer, by that you can back up all your files even your phonebook.

Wait, what do you mean by language pack? dictionnairy?

Look, my p800 is a chinese version from HongKong, and I have dictionnairy installed in it, after backing up all files, everything goes back to my p800. But when you say language, do you want to mean your p800 was supposed to be english only, and you've install in an additionnal chinese language pack on it? if that's the case, then I dunno.

i have chinese, english (US) and english (UK) in it. i'm wondering if they will lose if i reformat the phone. so i dunno if there's a way to backup those?

As long as you use the backup program from the CD that came with the P800, everything will be backed up onto your computer. Btw, where did you get the Chinese language pack?

so what happens when i reformat the phone? everything will be lost or just back to default? i just want the phone to be as when u just bought the phone new without anything extra added or installed to it. specially i don't want to lose chinese language after formatting in my phone as i need it.

i didn't get the chinese language pack anywhere. it came in the phone already
