I have the 8900 through Cell South, which is a small company that serves the southeast only.. I doubt any of you have heard of it. Anyhow, I read all the topics and got all the info ready to give it a shot-- I load monkey.png with BitPim on the phone use makeindex to create a new download_img.txt file, copy that over and it works flawlessly.

I created my own png file, same specs/size as monkey.png to upload, did everything just like I had done before, monkey still displayed fine but when I would scroll to 'snipe.png' which is the image I created it would just play the Radzetzky March ring tone-- it would display the filename but not the image itself and it plays that tone until I move to another image and apply that.

Happens with Media Gallery and viewing as a wallpaper.

Now, I figure I must've done something wrong and I'll restore empty .txt files and start from scratch-- now even monkey.png does the ringer thing, exact same steps, same phone, same file, same everything and it won't work now.

Anyone have any suggestions?
