I know it's pretty early to ask, but what is the consensus regarding the Slider. Most of the talk here is regarding "cosmetics" Have you guys been dropping calls? Any patterns of "no service"? In general, is the Slider a decent phone for just that......making and receiving calls? I have the VX 4400 that has worked flawlessly for the past year so that is what my comparison would be based on. I'm getting the feeling the Slider may be a bust. Hope I'm wrong!!!
The "cute" factor will only go so far! I have Verizon service.

The slider is great! No problems since ive gotten it. Great call reception even when there are no service bars on the screen.

I replaced my LG 4400 with the Slider and have been nothing, but impressed. The quality is outstanding on the phone, haven't dropped a single call, the speakerphone is great, and comparing signal lines between the two phones (transfered 4400 to a new line) has shown comparable results. Great phone and I feel it is a worthy replacement of my 4400.

I put my Slider in field test mode and got a reading of -70db at work and - 68db when i got home, that's not bad at all IMO.
I also went down the 3rd level underneath the building where i work at, that's where i usually go and test my phones and when i reached the botton my phone was showing no bars ( your signal bars are not the best way to measure RF BTW) but was still able to make crystal clear calls with no problems.
I noticed there are times where the bars flactuate alot but i don't drop the call, could be a glitch, other than that the Slider is performing well IMO.
