Hey all, I have two Treo 600 questions:

1. When I uncheck the "Automatic reselection" box in the Select Network screen, it seems to re-check itself as soon as I leave the screen. Is this a firmware bug? I have 2.05 on an unbranded Treo.

2. Is there any way to make the Handspring Mail application not check your mail? I just want to send mail from my Treo, but it won't let me create a mail account without a POP server. And if it can't receive mail first, it won't send it. Any ideas? Or do I need to find another mail app? Any recommendations?

If the email you want to send out is not too big, SMS will send it.

True, but I want it to come from my normal email address, not my @mobile.att.net one.

when you create the POP settings, make sure you have it so that it leaves the mail on the server, that way you won't lose any messages

I do have it set that way. I just don't want it to check my mail period. There doesn't seem to be a "Send Only" button or anything like that.

I'm not sure if the Handspring Mail client can do that. However other applications like Snapper Mail can.
