5135 - can't answer calls

I work for a Cel Company and I just e-mailed Kyocera about this issue, figured I post for response here too.
I have had a few customer unable to answer calls on this phone. It turns out that the flip switch is delayed in some manor. Cleaning the switch yields faster response for a while and then the problem is back again. Any suggestions as to what needs to be done. I asked them if it was a known issue, or if there was a real way to resolve the problem.I hope to hear back from them this week.
If cleaning doesn't work I swap the phone out for the customer and send it to kyocera who then sends back a refurb phone anyhow, but I would like to know why this is happening.
Let me know what you think or have heard.
PS: Any word about the service required bit would be nice too. A real pain in the phone that issue is. I see that less than I see the issue I am asking about above, but still darn annoying. New phones do both issues and the replacement refurbs I get back come back for same issue.
