how can a SL55 hardware has a SL56/SL5C software?

hi

just wondering, from what i gather in another post, SL5C is SL56. if it's true, how in the hell a SL55 can have a SL56 software? cause SL56 is dual band (850/1900) and SL55 is triple band (900/1800/1900). bad manufacturing?

to clarify:
SL5C = chinese version of SL55 and it has chinese input

SL55/SL5C = GSM 900/1800/1900
SL56 = GSM 850/1900

they are totally different...

and, why people want to flash SL5C to SL55 is to be able to update their own firmware using the updates available on the siemens site...
