I still have virgin mobile service on my slider but i wanna get it flashed by vzw. I heard it makes my phone 'behave' like a vzw slider. Does that mean no more free wap? or Will i be able to download stuff beig as though i would have vzw software? Or wont i because i still have vm service? Basically, should i get my slider switched and flashed, or jus get it flashed. Btw, could i use verizon without already having a verizon account?

this is what i am also wondering. Can you keep your VM service but just change the way your menus and stuff come out? Or if you get it flashed by VW then do you have to use their service?

and you say this while posting from your phone. If you get it flashed then you may not have free wap. if the verizon firmware doesn't let you add a url contact and then hit send, then when you flash it neither will your phone. Can someone with a verizon slider add a url contact and then highlight it and press send and tell us what happens?

I get what ur saying, it will probably let me still access wap sites as usual, but will it still be free?

checked vwireless's site. Came up nada (hoping for product manual).

If I could get my phone flashed back to the way it was, i would happily be a geniua pig. But since I'd be stuck without a phone if it screwed up, I'm not trying it.

I have a slider from Verizon (not VM) and i have free WAP, the thing is verizon is blocking 99% of the content so the only thing you can do is browse WAP enabled sites like mobile.msn.com

NO DOWNLOADING OF ANYKIND can be done... unless there is a way to hack into the browser itself

No disrespect, but, your wrong! That phone is LOADED!! Brew 2.0, EMS,......and the list continues. I know for a fact that virgin mobile already put this phone to waste, so verizon wouldnt do the same.
