I have a question...

I was looking for screensavers for my phone and I came across one. It was animated and it was rather long! And it sparked a though

, is there anyway to convert say, a small video clip into an animated GIF or screensaver???!!!??? I was just wondering has anyone try this or is there anyway to do this. I guess it came to mind because the GIF was moving and images on a video move.... I dunno

.... If anyone has ANY input PLZ post it here!!!

Sure.

Export the movie clip frames as gif files using whatever video editing software you like, import those into your gif animation software, viola.

You may want to delete like every Nth frame, since video can be upwards of 30fps and you don't need more than 2 or 3 fps for a fone screensaver. Otherwise you're going to have a huge gif.

I was just going to suggest the same thing as far as saving the frames.

Good Idea though, never thought to take frames from a video to make gifs.

The GIF animation software that comes with JASC's Paint Shop Pro 9 does a nice job, too. Not sure if it still comes with Corel's version 10...
