Animations!! What format and how to find free ones?

Just got the phone...and have mastered all of the basic functions. Have successfully loaded NUMEROUS ringtones found for free on tagtag.com and now am looking for animations for the welcome screen, for signoff screen and others. Anyone know what format these animations must be in? I tried a regular moving .gif file and that didn't work. Know of any sites like tagtag.com that give out free animations of this type???

Search Yahoo for animated gifs and you'll see a number of choices. All the ones I tried worked. There is another post on this subject with details.
