I just got the Sanyo 6200 ($80 for Circuit City ). My cable should be here today in the mail. I need a source for midi's, or an explination as to how you make them.

I signed up for the free 3 months of ringers and more but most people have said that it sucks. Can you make midi's? I was thinking you could use mp3 to .wav and edit it and save as a midi or something...

Are there any good sites for free midi's? I can't believe that some of these sites charge $1.50 per midi, that's crazy!

Why does everyone want to buy/sell MIDIs!!! GRRRRR....

MIDIs have been around for a long time, well before anyone knew what a custom ringer was.....

What a MIDI is (pay attn if you're serious about really making your own MIDIs..) up to 16 instruments all played at the same time. Most people who make midis use their electronic keyboards (the piano type not the typing type) and play one instrument at at time, saving it on a track and doing that for up to 16 tracks. When they are all played at the same time, you get your beautiful sounding MIDI! (sorry if that really confused you )

If you're lazy like me though and you really don't have musical talent, MIDIs are EVERYWHERE on the internet (Ive been collecting them for years!). The MIDIs you play on your computer as the ones you can use on your 6200.

Go to www.musicrobot.com and search for your favorite song. If its not there, you can even go to Google, or Altavista or whatever you use and simply enter in, say, "Rocky theme MIDI" in the search field. And congrats! you have MIDIs!!!! YAY!!!

if you want to edit them for your phone, use Anvil Studio to make the MIDIs shorter, louder, change the instruments so it sounds better on your phone) and you can get it here: ( http://download.com.com/3000-2171-1...tml?tag=lst-0-1 )

Hope that helped and sorry if I rambled....I just got up

Thanks, would Kazaa be a good source for midis? I read about the polywhatever type which are supposed to be better and work on the 6200, does music robot have these?
