S40 Clear Case and silver keys!

Ok guys, I put my clear case on my phone the other day -- but I didn't like it totally clear. Looks-wise, it wasn't as cool, but the worst thing was it made it hard to hear the other person! The great bass-filled sound the S40 has was gone!

I think the phone looks REALLY bad-*** now! And unique... I don't like to have a phone like other people. I saw a woman with an S40 the other day and I wanted right away to go custom.

And here's the clear cover I didn't put on ... well, I had it on and took it off. Sorry, I forgot to photograph it before I put the silver one back on. Unfortunately, the clear back didn't fit on the silver front very well... I hope it doesn't break the clips... I had to trim the top clips on the clear back a little or it wouldn't go on at all.

If you want to see all the picture I took go here:

I like the clear back, but you're right, it doesn't look as good as the original. Where did you buy the custom faceplate?

I bought the new case and keypad from www.cutepcs.com. The clear case does look pretty cool, and I really like the silver keypad versus the stock blue one, but I think I'm the most happy with the combo I have right now. I noticed a few other sites are starting to sell the new cases for the phone as well. But Cutepcs.com happens to be right here in Los Angeles so when I ordered I think I had it the next day... even shipping UPS ground.

It actually looks quite cool if you ask me. I'd probably stay with the original keypad though but the clear rear case looks pretty good. Was trying to make it fit a real pain?

How is the finish of the case and keypad? The keypad seems to stick out a bit more than the original. Is it true?

I didn't notice the keypad sticking out more .. maybe. The keys are smooth -- very smooth. Almost like they are coated with varnish or something.

The case is also completely smooth and soft touch. Nicer feeling than the original case.

Getting the back cover to fit on the silver front wasn't too hard. I just had to trim the little clips at the top a little. No biggie.

Can you post a pic of the keypad lit up in the dark? Thanks.
