I went through step by step in the instructions listed on this thread http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...=%2B8600+%2Bwap and used www.waptunnel.com for my home page. It tried to connect, then said "Server not responding". I have no idea what to do at this point, am I supposed to have Verizon enable web access, but then just use this (not sure if it's a montly fee or cost per time usage). anyway, any info appreciated, thanks!

thanks for the reply, but that is not free unfortunatley...also my phone is not listed as a supported phone.
as a side note, the last error i received with waptunnel was 'Internal server error (500) Servlet not found /internal home-edit' ... almost there! .... i think..

was able to get this to have a different error ... the 'servlet...internal..' error. i even went and edited the error text before the www.tagtag.com and tried again. same result. i believe im close here. i have read all the posts, yet still no luck. anyone have anymore input?

Waptunnel was down for a while. They had to change servers do to capacity problems. I posted the letter from waptunnel..somewhere.
All my free access servers were blocked and assume it was from Verizon's end, but have not noticed everyone else getting shut down...so I'm not sure what's going on. I started paying the $5 a month for WAP and everything now works, including the WAP tunnel ip 207.232.099.109
port 9201. Which I just tried.

I was running into the same error. I went in to the web settings and made sure that http:// was in there and it wasnt so i added it, now it works great, i think w/o the http:// it trys to access it as a local site for some reason when it really has to go out and retrieve it.

Thanks for the feedback. So it's working for some.
In the past, some geographic locations have had problems, while others had not.
One day everything worked and the next absolutley nothing would. Maybe because I was using the Openwave developers IP.
I still think my free access was cut off....
I've noticed very minor changes in the url can make the difference between the page loading or not.
