3g voice active?

So are we now or later using 3g voice? have 5150 and my question is: if we are using voice now, should i be able to tell any difference? if yes, then what? i cant tell anything. also, if we are using now, do i need to contact cs or is it automatically active? I know that the launch date is aug 11 but, the posts seem to imply we are active voice now. T or F?

if your phone has the 3g software you are using 3g voice now.
you should see an improvement in battery life and after they are done optimising the network for 1xrtt you should see the improvement in reception. voice quality will be the same, we will not see an improvemet in voice quality untill we have phones that use the smv codec.

we should see the full benifits of 3g by the launch date, keep in mind that right now everything is being tested and configured.
