Verizon 8900 - Expiration Problems

Has this been a problem for anyone? My wife and I both have the 8900 for Verizon. If I send her a photo and she defers receiving it (meaning she gets notified it's ready, but selects 'Later') for more than a couple of hours, she cannot retrieve it. The message says Pix Not Available.

After much working with Verizon tech support, I found that the Verizon db marks the pix as 'expired'. To get around this, I can choose the 'Expiration' option off the pix menu and reset it to 5 days. Then I have no issues retrieving photos, but I have to set the Expiration option each time...it won't store the 5 days as a default.

According to Verzion, one of two things has to happen.
1. Audiovox changes the expiration default to 5 days.
2. Verizon db is updated to ignore the expiration sent by the phone.

I'm told the LG phone does not have this problem. And I'm surprised nobody here has posted anything on this. Is it not happening for you?

would this also affect pix messages that are recieved while the phone is in the extended network i wonder? i haven't gotten any pix messages while i was out of the 1x area yet but if a person was out of the network or had their phone off for longer than the expiration period would they still get the messages?
