T720 Issue Please Help!!!!

I have read over and over all the threads about the software issue when we upgrade to the .5 upgrade.... Can someone please reply to how I can fix this and be able to upload my own files (MIDI and .GIF) I have tried the PMt or EMS and they do not work for me I am running winXP and i used to use GAGIN and since upgrade am having the same issues others are having...Please help VERIZON laughed at me when I asked for a downgrade.....They said they only had the one Available...Please tell me what I am missing...Thanks
