i had the phone for a couple of months now and love it... but recently dropped it and now the microphone inside of it does not work anymore? does anyone kno how to correct this problem thanks alot.

Posted by: Sliderman

Well if you want to open your phone from the screws in the back then when you take that part off the microphon will be there try to push it in place (if its not) then close it back up to see if thats it. If not then i dont know wuts wrong but most likely it prob. just fell out of place because it has to be touching 1 spot

thanks for the help man ima try that... i just gotta find a small enuff bit for it

Dont use a screw driver TRUST ME i tried that if u have 1 use an allen wrench its the smallest one the really thin 1 that works

Posted by: yrless11

you need a T6 torque driver to do it properly.

Posted by: Sliderman

Yes but a allen will do the trick without damage

FWIW you can get a Torx set where the bits can be stored in the handle at Home Depot for about $6. That way you'll have the exact size you need.

I've seen T6 screwdrivers on Ebay for pennies..you could check there if you would like to buy one to have on hand, and I also can second that the smallest Allen wrench does work, a friend of mine used one to open his Slider.

Yeah, pennies plus $5 shipping

The sad thing is I just went on eBay to prove myself wrong and I couldn't! The lowest price for shipping alone I saw was $5.50, on up to $6! Of course you always get it in an envelope with $1.25 postage on it

I went to true value and got the smallest star bit driver I could find: T6 I think it cost me $1.50 or something.

Posted by: Darklily72

I ordered mine a couple years ago from Cutepcs.com..I think it was like 2 or three bucks, and I got free shipping because I ordered some other stuff with it. They always have specials running with shipping.

When I was doing this project radio shack was the first place I looked and they didn't have one aside from a part of a computer repair kit that was something like $25.

Home Depot or other hardware stores should have it in a multi-bit Torx set.

In fairness, this was one of those smaller radio shacks that don't carry everything. Then again every time I go to radio shack, no matter what size store, they don't have what I need.
