Confussion over firmware and compatible chinese language packs

hi there again

I really really appreciate your help as well as your file but:-

Are you sure that the chinese language pack that you sent me GCD87L57.REL works with the A53?

I have 2 GD87,s one I have managed to flash to A21 with theGCD87L94 CHINESE Language pack and it works. However not sure how you can write in tradittional chinese when wanting to compose an sms!!!

The second phone also a GD87 USES A21 but will not accept the GCD87L94 pack. When flashing, everything is normal and it confirms that the chinese pack is there but when u go into languages of the phone all thats there is english!!! Arrrhhggg. Also it will not get rid of the Red vodafone Ops logo on boot unlike the other phone which boots panasonic. Both phones eproms are unlocked too and open to all GSM Networks.

I just find it odd that both phones are identical same firmware but one will not allow the GCD87L94 language pack to be installed.

Any ideas? Maybe someone could explain to me the correct firmwares that are compatable with the chinese language packs or vice versa

It is simple. Flash both phones to A50 or higher without flashing the language pack and it will work. Try out then. Good luck!

did you have the menu settings on chinese, cause if it's english sometimes you can't using chinese input if you don't have it on chinese menus.

in winmodo do i have to flash the "boot" as well, or just flash the "main" thats it ?
